Basic Uses: CRL 888 is designed for use in joints measuring 3/8" (10 mm) or less in metal, glass, wood, plastic, and concrete. This sealing compound is easy to apply with standard manual caulking guns. CRL 888 Premium Grade Caulking is non-stringy during application, and contains no asbestos minerals. When fully cured it forms an elastic, all-weather resistant seal which bonds to many surfaces. Application temperature range is 40° to 120°F (4° to 49°C). It also withstands temperature changes from -20° to 200°F (-29° to 93°C). It is recommended for caulking exterior and interior construction units, under thresholds and aluminum siding, between metal building panels and truck body joints, and many other areas. CRL 888 Premium Grade Caulking will not harden or crack with age, and its color is stable to ultraviolet exposure. It features a non-staining, solvent release formula that bonds to a variety of surfaces. Two hour tack free time, it is 90% cured in 21 days. Paint time is 24 hours.

Limitations: Not recommended for use in sealing horizontal decks, patios, driveways or terrace joints where abrasion or physical abuse is encountered. Not recommended for use in window glazing applications or hidden joint details, which require a non-skinning, non-hardening sealant. CRL 888 has a solvent based curing system. A slight odor of mineral spirits will be detected during application, which is normal. Do not use where this odor may be objectionable, such as refrigeration units that will be stocked soon after construction. Check cartridge label and Specification Data Sheet for additional limitations.
