Turning lever downward will activate dead latch. Heavy-duty spring will return the lever automatically to fully horizontal position. The escutcheon is 1-3/8" x 4" (35 x 102 mm), with a 1/4" (6 mm) square hardened spindle that interlocks in the cam plug.
